Committee News

Lake Recreation Area

FROM MIKE DAW - Waterfront Committee

Eldorado Heights Homeowners Association

Governing Procedures for Lakefront Recreation Area

Prepared in Accordance with Article VI of the Covenants

Recreational Facilities

The Eldorado Heights lakefront recreation facilities are for the exclusive enjoyment of members and their accompanied guests. Members may not allow guests to use the facilities at any time unless they are accompanied by the member. Liability concerns relating to these “common areas” impact all members. Therefore, protective rules and regulations must be mandated.

General Rules

  1. The entrance gates should be kept locked at all times. The combination is given to members in good standing. (current dues are paid)

  2. Non-members and minor children must be accompanied by an adult member in good standing.

  3. All persons must control their dogs. You must clean up after your dog in the Lakefront area.

HUOTARI LANE

Members are reminded that Huotari Lane is a HOA private road with access to members home’s and the Lakefront Area. The gate combination for all gates is not to be given to non-members to access the Lakefront Area. The gates are to be kept locked at all times.

HUNTING IS NOT PERMITTED ON HUOTARI LANE.

PARKING

Vehicles and trailers shall be parked in accordance with posted signs.

PAVILION (SHELTER)

  1. No overnight sleeping is allowed in the shelter.

  2. The facility is not to be used as a storage area for personal items such as floats and tubes.

  3. Use only the number of tables that are necessary for your party.

  4. Clean the tables after use and return them to their original place.

  5. KEEP THE AREA CLEAN. Take all trash with you when you leave.

  6. When using the charcoal grill, make sure the fire is out when you leave and return the grill to its’ original position.

BOAT DOCKS

  1. All member boats must be registered with the Board each year and display the current year sticker. Stickers are available when current dues are paid. A copy of the registration in the name of the member must be submitted to obtain the current sticker. Sticker must be affixed on the front right side next to the registration numbers.

  2. Dock number 1 (nearest launch ramp) is reserved for day use only for the convenience of boaters to load and unload their vessels. Boats may not be moored on either side of this dock

  3. Members wishing to moor their boats on a dock for the entire season must pay a seasonal fee of $400 for the season. That dock is theirs for each succeeding season subject to fee payment.

  4. Only one boat per membership may be moored at the dock site. Overnight stays on the dock are permitted for one night only. Then they must be stored in the dry dock area.

  5. Any additional family members or friends bringing boats must be dry docked after use. These boats must be registered ahead of time with the Board

  6. All trailers and boats not moored must be stored in the designated trailer storage area.

VIOLATIONS

It is important that you know that infractions of these rules and regulations will be acted upon by your Board of Directors when complaints are received. (refer to Article VI of the Covenants). It is hoped that all members will act responsibly and respect the rights and privileges of fellow members as we all enjoy our “common areas” equitably.

VIOLATIONS OF THESE RULES ARE SUBJECT TO LOSS OF PRIVILEGES FOR THE LAKEFRONT RECREATION AREA FOR UP TO 30 DAYS AS PER ARTICLE VI SEC D OF THE COVENANTS.
